I was spending a couple of weeks at our family cottage, just at the border of a field, where, as far as I can remember, we've always been watching roe deer grazing as we were having our dinner. This year, I could often hear barking right under the window. Or really load munching, snorting and grunting, coming from the roe deer grazing on whatever it could find, not fazed by me watching it from a window from a distance of 15 m or so. Since then I always had my camera prepared. Until one evening I heard noises from a bit further away and saw a female deer, careful about approaching. And I could soon see why. She had her fawn with her. And I just had my camera ready :)
